ember lou larson
A Brief History:
Composer and vocalist , Ember Lou Larson, has been writing and performing her own music since the age of ten. Lyrically poignant and achingly human, Ember's rich voice and intricate fingerstyle guitar illustrate an intimate depiction of the very personal process of self discovery and personality integration.  Born and raised in South Dakota, Ember's dynamic writing style captures the wild and spacious plains of her origins.   Accompanying herself on either guitar of piano, she cut her teeth as a singer-songwriter playing local coffee houses and bars throughout eastern South Dakota before relocating to Prescott at the age of 20.  In Prescott, in addition to performing her own music, Ember began studying music scholastically, performing classical compositions throughout Northern Arizona in a variety of venues while she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music through Prescott College.  In the Spring of 2011, she wrote directed, produced, and starred in her first folk opera “The Severed Kingdom”.  This immense musical production had a sold out run and garnered Ember two top ten finalist nominations for the Prescott Buckey Award for Excellence in the Arts, one for Outstanding Musician of the Year and one for Outstanding Literary Artist of the Year.  After graduation, Ember continued to hone her skills during a brief stint in Tucson AZ, teaching voice at a local music academy and returning to her singer-songwriter roots, performing at local clubs downtown.  2012 brought her back to the mountains of Prescott for continual spiritual growth and the expansion of her family, the birth of her son.  After taking some much needed time away to adapt and enjoy the tremendous blessing of motherhood, Ember is once more writing and beginning to perform professionally as a solo artist.
